Week Commencing 18/06/2018

 

Tuesday we were at Derby Tennis Centre for KS1 Fitness is Fun Festival which saw 8 schools attend including, Lakeside Primary, St Werburghs Primary, Brookfield Primary, Hardwick primary, Ashcroft Primary with 2 teams, Village Primary and Silverhill Primary. All of the teams came and got involved in a really good day.

Wednesday we were back at Derby Tennis Centre for Tennis Plus in the morning which saw 8 schools attend including, Lakeside Primary, Royal School for the Deaf, Pear Tree Juniors, Bishop Lonsdale Primary, Village Primary, St Clares School, Oakwood Juniors and Cherry Tree Hill Primary. All of the schools took part in a different style of tennis, including having a go in the wheelchairs and playing a game.

Wednesday afternoon we were still at the Tennis Centre for Yr 5/6 Mini Tennis, which saw 10 teams attend including, Pear Tree Juniors, Chellaston Juniors, Cavendish Close Juniors, Hardwick Primary, Walter Evans Primary, Oakwood Juniors bringing 2 teams, St Albans Primary, Mickleover Primary and Ravensdale Juniors. All of the teams played lots of games against other teams and the winners overall were Walter Evans Primary.

Thursday afternoon we were at Alvaston Park for Yr 5/6 Grass Track Cycling which saw 8 school attend including, Royal School for the Deaf, Markeaton Primary, Cavendish Close Juniors, Oakwood Juniors, Silverhill Primary, Village Primary, Alvaston Juniors and Ashgate Primary. All of the schools raced lots of different races using the bikes provided by Cycle Derby, Markeaton Primary won overall.

Friday we were at Moorways for Yr 1/2 Football Festival which saw 6 schools attend including, Village Primary, Allenton Primary, St Marys Primary, Mickleover Primary, Silverhill Primary and Pear Tree Infants. All of the schools played lots of different games against each other and got lots of new tactics and skills.
