Week Commencing 14/05/2018


Tuesday afternoon we were at Willows Sports Centre for our Dodgeball Festival, which saw 13 teams attend including, Silverhill with 2 teams, Royal School for the Deaf, St Peters with 2 teams, Zaytouna, Ashcroft, Cottons Farm, Chellaston, Dale, St James, Osmaston and Cherry Tree Hill. All of the teams played lots of matches against different schools and had a really good afternoon.

Wednesday afternoon we were at Derby Tennis Centre for our Yr 3/4 Mini Tennis Competition which saw 13 teams attend including, Chellaston Juniors, Cavendish Close Juniors, Dale Primary, Hardwick Primary, Oakwood Juniors with 2 teams, St James Juniors, Mickleover Primary, Arboretum Primary, St Marys with 2 teams, Ravensdale Juniors and Pear Tree Juniors. All of the children played in different groups and then qualified for the final, which was Ravensdale against Mickleover.

Thursday we were at Chellaston Academy for our Yr 10 Rounder’s, which saw 6 schools attend including, Chellaston, City of Derby, Derby High, Merrill, Lees brook and West Park. All of the girls played lots of different games against every school and our winning team Derby High School.

Friday we were at Derby Arena for our Post SATs Festival which saw 5 schools attend including, Royal School for the Deaf, Markeaton Primary, Osmaston Primary, Brookfield Primary and Cherry Tree Hill Primary. All of the schools rotated around 5 different activities, Dance, Basketball, Tennis, Football and Dodgeball. The children had a really good time and everyone enjoyed themselves.
