This is a poem created by the PLT for Brackensdale Junior School, David Tee, after attending the Development Day at Pride Park on 29th January 2009.
2009, a brand new plan
Baton collected, are you a fan?
Time to change a generation
Leave a legacy for our nation
2 hour minimum now: the past
Move to 5 let fitness last!
Look outside, fulfill the strategy
Just do we know what's high class quality?
This just can't happen overnight
Rally the troops to support the fight
Link to clubs, let's use the Fesco
Keep collecting coupons out at Tesco!
2 Thousand and 12, immediate goal
Showcased success, what's my role?
Create a legacy for years to come
But don't let the kids sit on their bum!
Daily physical activity: the key
Let the boom box add to your P.E
Playground markings just ask Steve
Don't skip this out, from him receive!
3 hours; the Derby plan
Then link to clubs as much as you can
We've caught the baton, we'll win this race
We'll take it forward , this is our space!
What are our outcomes, what will we do?
Pretend we're sick and have the flu
Inform parents, kids and staff
Don't just say 'Now you're having a laugh!'
