Kwik Cricket Festival 2009

This years Kwik Cricket festivals saw another increase in entries from previous years and also saw the first separate event for girls.
In total 26 teams took part in the mixed festivals with 6 teams taking part in the girls event.
Results are as follows:
East competition - 1st Chellaston Junior with 673 runs - 2nd Parkview with 625 runs
West competition - 1st Dale with 732 runs - 2nd Arboretum with 716 runs & 3rd Mickleover with 667 runs.
Both Chellaston Junior and Dale represented Derby City at the County Final and Dale went onto be overall winners of this event and qualified for the Midlands Kwik Cricket event which they also won.
The winners of the girls event were Arboretum for the West and Chellaston Junior for the East who both went through to represent Derby City at the County Finals. Arboretum won the County Finals and went onto represent Derbyshire at the East Midlands tournament.

The FA Skills Programme will be running FREE football coaching sessions for 5-11 year olds during the June Half Term Holidays. The sessions will take place on Wednesday the 6th of June at the University of Derby, Kedleston Road Campus.
