Derby City School Sport Partnership are recruiting for the following posts:

Physical Activity Officer: Full Time, Term Time for 40 weeks per year, £16,000-£18,000 pro rata

School Sport Apprentice: 30 hours per week, Term Time for 40 weeks per year, £165 per week

Both posts will start in September 2016 and enable us to deliver the School Sport Partnership ‘Activity Wheel’ to schools in Derby. Our package of support for schools includes Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity. High 5s all round for Oakwood & Bishop Lonsdale

Oakwood Junior and Bishop Lonsdale Primary will represent Derby City at the High 5 County Final at Derby Arena next week.

 

Teams from across the city took part in the competition that had been postponed twice due to weather before going ahead indoors at Noel Baker School.

 

After a round robin of two groups, teams from Oakwood and Bishop Lonsdale saw their way through to the knock out stages before Oakwood took the Gold.

As well as celebrating her birthday in May, Molly Renshaw is also our #FaceForTheFuture, #Road2Rio Olympian of the Month.

 

Schools are encouraged to download and use these profiles to get children researching these athletes as well as others that they may seen on their screens this summer or in future Olympic / Paralympic games.

Weather plays it’s part in a busy end to April!

The last couple of weeks have seen lots of action as we move towards May with schools taking part Orienteering at Darley Park, Basketball Plus, Year 1 & 2 Gymnastics and a Primary Change 4 Life Champions Conference.

 

Orienteering made it’s return to our events calendar after a long absence and was taken up by a number of schools, thanks to a great offer of support from the staff at Darley Barn.
