NQT Introduction to PE Workshops It is of concern that ITT courses fail to adequately equip trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver safe and effective Physical Education.
These workshops will cover six modules throughout the year and will address some of the common shortcomings experienced by new teachers.

This year we are looking to create more opportunities for schools to experience competition on a more “local” level with some cluster events that will not only hopefully engage more schools in more events, but also allow pupils who don’t necessarily represent the school in sports teams to take part. This also proves relevant when looking to answer the “B and C teams” question on School Games Mark applications at Silver and Gold level!

Throughout the 2015-16 academic year we have been running an on-going competition to find our #Road2Rio Champion Schools.
Points have been awarded to schools for attending SSP events, bringing additional teams to include more children, how well they have performed at the events and displaying our SSP S.P.O.R.T values.
(Skills for Life, Participation, Opportunities for ALL, Respect and Teamwork)
All of those points have been added up and we can now reveal that the top three schools are as follows:
