The Celebration of Dance spectator tickets are now on sale via the Derby Live website – link below:

Please be aware that the full price for a ticket (no concessions!) is £5.50 inclusive of the Derby Live handling fee.

Please also ensure you book for the correct time slot that your school / child is performing in.




Seating is un-reserved so will be allocated / chosen as people arrive rather than booking an actual seat / row number.

Week commencing 30/01/2017

Tuesday we had Curling Plus in the morning which The Royal School for the Deaf happily held for us in their sports hall. We had 4 schools attending Alvaston Junior, St Claire’s School, Oakwood Juniors and our hosts Royal School for the Deaf.

In the afternoon we had Curling again, which 6 schools attended, Cherry Tree Hill Primary, Dale Primary, St Werburghs, Bishop Lonsdale, Silverhill and Oakwood Juniors. Bishop Lonsdale won, Dale second and Cherry Tree Hill came third.

Paralympian Inspires Local School

Team GB Cerebral Palsy captain Jack Rutter spent Friday 27th January visiting three Derby schools to chat with pupils during assemblies.

Rutter, who has captained the England Cerebral Palsy football team and helped take Team GB to a fifth place finish at Rio 2016, visited Ravensdale Junior School, Oakwood Junior School and the Royal School for the deaf as part of a competition hosted by the Derby City SSP.

Week Commencing 23/01/17

On Monday we had Secondary Badminton which 4 schools turned up to. Woodlands, City of Derby Academy, Da Vinci and Murray Park. The KS3 Boys qualifying for county finals are Woodlands and City of Derby, KS3 Girls are Woodlands. The KS4 Boys qualifying for county finals are City of Derby Academy and Da Vinci and the girls were Murray park and Woodlands.
