Derby City School Sport Partnership is looking for an outgoing, confident and skilled young person to assist with the smooth running of our events.

Derby City School Sport Partnership works closely with primary, secondary and special schools to develop opportunities in PE, Sport and Physical Activity for young people in Derby. Working with approximately 65 affiliated schools, we offer a calendar of 150+ events every year. Week Commencing 19/06/2017

Monday afternoon we were at the Derby County Training Ground for our Girls Euro 2017 Festival, we had 5 schools attend, Ashgate Primary, Oakwood Juniors, St James Junior, Arboretum Primary and Ravensdale Juniors. All the children got the chance to play each other and then we had a semi final and a final. Arboretum played St James whilst Oakwood played Ravensdale in the semi finals. The final was Oakwood against St James which was a close game but Oakwood came out on top. Oakwood 1st Place, St James 2nd and Arboretum 3rd.

Derby City SSP and Derby County Community Trust Support First Ever National Writing Day!

Wednesday 21st July saw year 4 pupils from local schools head to the Riverside Centre to swat up on their writing skills for the first ever National Writing Day.

The aim of the day was to inspire children in their writing, using sport as a stimulus.

Week commencing 12/06/2017

Tuesday we had alternative football festival which was held at Willows. We had 5 schools attend, Oakwood Juniors, Dale Primary, Redwood Primary, Parkview Primary and Cottons Farm. All the children played lots of different games to do with football but not the exact game. For example they played heads and volley and tag football.
