Week Commencing 20/02/16

Wednesday we had U14 and U16 Girls Football Finals. 3 schools attended, West park, Noel Baker and Woodlands bringing 2 teams. West Park won the U14 final and Woodlands A team won the U16 final.

Well done to everyone!

 

Thursday we had Mini Basketball, which 10 schools attended, Markeaton, Dale Primary, Arboretum, St Albans, Oakwood, St Josephs, Roe Farm, Bemrose, Cavendish Close and Ravensdale Juniors.

Oakwood Juniors, Markeaton and St Albans all got through to the knock out stages and Oakwood Juniors managed to take the win and claim Gold.

Week Commencing 6/2/17

Tuesday we had our second KS1 Fundamentals Festival held at Derby Tennis Centre, in the morning we had 2 schools Mickleover Primary and Ridgeway Infants both bringing a class each, in the afternoon we had 3 schools, Wyndham, Cherry Tree Hill and Bishop Lonsdale bringing 2 teams. All the children enjoyed lots of fun activities, we had a football station with Derby County coaches, a Tennis Station with Derby Tennis coaches, and a Karate and Dodge ball stations with our SSP staff.

Week commencing 30/01/2017

Tuesday we had Curling Plus in the morning which The Royal School for the Deaf happily held for us in their sports hall. We had 4 schools attending Alvaston Junior, St Claire’s School, Oakwood Juniors and our hosts Royal School for the Deaf.

In the afternoon we had Curling again, which 6 schools attended, Cherry Tree Hill Primary, Dale Primary, St Werburghs, Bishop Lonsdale, Silverhill and Oakwood Juniors. Bishop Lonsdale won, Dale second and Cherry Tree Hill came third.
