Week Commencing 21/11/16

On Wednesday we had our first Fundamentals Festival of the year. In the morning we had Brackensdale Infants School, Reigate Park and Portway Infants. For the afternoon session we had Silverhill Primary, Roe Farm, Walter Evans and Ridgeway Infants.

All the children did lots of different fundamental activities and all enjoy the day!

On Wednesday afternoon we had Year 10/11 Boys Futsal. We only had 2 teams playing so Noel Baker school and Merrill Academy played it out. They both got through to the County Finals.

Week Commencing 14/11/16

On Tuesday we had our first year 8/9 Futsal of the year. Noel Baker hosted our event and 3 schools turned up for a few games each, they all played each other and then we had a 3rd place play off and a 1st and 2nd play off, which Merrill Academy won, our hosted Noel Baker came second and Bemrose came third.

Well done to everyone!

Yr 6/7 Girls Futsal

On Tuesday we had our first Girls Futsal of the year, all the girls did great and really gave it there all. Some very skillful football was played by everyone.

The 2 teams going through to the county finals were Oakwood in second place and Noel Baker taking first in a very tough Final.

Week Commencing 31/10/16

Basketball Plus

We had 5 Schools turn up to our Basketball Plus event on Tuesday; St Werburghs bringing 10 children, St Martins with 9 children, Oakwood Juniors had 10 children, Lakeside had 8 children and Alvaston Juniors brought 9 children.

They did a lot of basketball exercises to improve there play and then they played a game against the other schools. Everyone participated really well and got really stuck in on all of the games.
