Get involved with CP World Championships at St George’s Park this summer!

Following on from previous information circulated, please find attached a little more information on the opportunities open to schools around the Cerebral Palsy Football World Championships at St George’s Park over the summer.

Sainsbury’s School Games Mark 2015

Applications for the 2015 Sainsbury’s School Games Mark open on Wednesday 3 June via the Your School Games website.

Schools can apply for bronze, silver or gold awards in recognition of the work they have done in PE and School Sport in the current academic year.

Tour of Britain Cycling Video Competition

The Tour of Britain is speeding through Derbyshire on September 11 – and Derbyshire Sport want you to help promote the eagerly-awaited event by telling them what makes cycling so great!

Whether you like it because you can cycle with your friends or because it gets you out into the Derbyshire countryside with your family, Derbyshire Sport want you to record a short video on your smartphone or a video camera of no more than 30 seconds saying why you like to ride a bike.

Derby High Post First Rounders Title

Y10 Rounders

 Derby High School took away the first Rounders title of the year on Thursday 21 May.

They took home the trophy from the Year 10 Tournament, going unbeaten throughout.

The final saw them beat West Park 7.5 to 2 after respective wins against St Benedict’s and Littleover in the semi-finals. Lees Brook took third place after a 7 – 5.5 win in the play off.

10 teams from schools across Derby took part in the tournament, hosted by Chellaston Academy. Our thanks go to Chellaston for their support.
